Students review 3-point Lighting and get to set up 3-point lighting in class

Students will review 3-point lighting techniques learned from last class and then will be able to set up a 3-point lighting plot in the studio the correct way.

Do Now: Last class we learned why lighting is used. In your notebooks, write one reason why you would use lighting when taking photo/video.

Lighting Techniques:

Lighting Group- Assign one student to be the lighting director (person in charge of lighting set up) After setting up a 3-point lighting plot, please take one photo of each:

1. Just the Key Light On

2. Just the Fill Light On

3. Just the Back Light On

4. All the lights on

The student assigned as the lighting director uses rubric handed out to grade the group.
